Optimism and confidence about the small business economy seems to be growing as we wrap up 2023. As our members – small business owners, contractors and entrepreneurs across the nation – create and invest in their business ventures, we at Affiliated Workers Association want to continue to provide resources that can help along the way.
We have a new membership program called AdvancedHealth. It gives you access to insurance for accidents and sickness through Unified Life Insurance Company. This new membership program provides an affordable health solution for members and their families. This membership offers discounts and savings through Business AdvantEdge to help businesses save money on operating costs.
We understand that it’s been hard to start and grow a business during tough economic times and a global pandemic. That’s why we have teamed up with Kindly Human to provide understanding peer support for real-life problems to our members.
On select membership levels, AWA members have the opportunity to connect any time with a Peer experience, as well as participate in one-on-one personal conversations with a Peer Listener who relates to their experiences. The new Kindly Human resource offers members one free hour of connection time per month. Members can pay for additional minutes if they need them.
Our small business advocacy partner, Small Business Majority has outlined three key policy areas this year: 1) access to capital and opportunity; 2) quality jobs; and 3) a level playing field. AWA members can stay updated and join Small Business Majority’s free events, training seminars, and webinars.
You can learn more about all these resources on the newly redesigned AWA website at affiliatedworkersassociation.org. Look at the Members Corner for the most recent news you can use. Please continue to also regularly review our AWA member resources like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and the newsletter, so you can stay informed as we announce new ways for our members to save money, manage their health and run their businesses. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
Sincerely,
Neil Peterson
AWA Board President
